Citra is my favorite hop so Ivy is just something special to me.

This is a tough one. Probably VSOJ from Revolution. There are so many breweries making world-class beer now that it’s difficult to choose.

What do you like most about being one of the owners of Xul?
The team we have. I’ve been a large part of other businesses and our team at Xul is just the most cohesive that I’ve experienced. Everyone pulls (more than) their own weight. We all have our weaknesses, but our strengths seem to bridge any shortcomings. It’s really fun to be a part of. On the fun side: anytime we travel for collabs… those trips are what I live for.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I still work full time managing a local DC and working on Xul stuff, so any free time is a luxury. I enjoy golfing, traveling & diving. I grew up fishing so that still holds a special place in my heart. …which reminds me, I need to go more often.

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
Damn. I dunno. Of course, I’d pay off my house and save/invest most of it. There would be many more golf, fish & dive trips in my future.

What’s something you think everyone should try at least once?
Scuba. It’s basically like being on another planet. You can’t hear anything but your own breathing and it’s just incredible.

What do you like most about being one of the owners of Xul?
It’s been pretty incredible seeing our crazy idea come to life and then take on a life of its own. I also love getting to spend my days with our team. We have such an incredible, goofy, and passionate staff that makes every day so much fun.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Spending time with my family, watching scary movies, and also the occasional trip to Vegas!

Do you have any weird superstitions?
When I play craps, I take my money off the table when the game is slowed down at all from talking or interruptions. When the game gets out of sync, a bad roll usually follows.

If you could know the absolute and total truth to one question, what question would you ask?
Ah, so many questions… life, death, universe, ghosts… If I have to pick one – What else is out there? We can’t be the only living beings in the entire universe.

Working with other people with a similar passion and drive to make the best product and experience they can.

What do you like most about working at Xul?
The atmosphere and the people I work with. I’ve never worked for a place where the owners were so passionate and involved in making their business the absolute best. Xul is more than just a brewery. It’s become a culture; a way of life.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I like being at home with my fiancé, my dog, and my cat.

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
I would pay off my student loans, open a shelter for animals in need, and jumpstart my congressional campaign.

Really creative beers. Even non-beer drinkers find something they like here. I also like how they have lactose & gluten-free beers for people with those sensitivies.

Living in another culture.

If you won the lottery, what’s the first thing you would do?
Learn more about how infinite banking works so I can use that to start two businesses: one to help guide/support up-and-coming businesses and another to help people heal their bodies naturally with nutrition, etc.

The consistency & camaraderie are top notch…top to bottom.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Family is my everything. I love exploration…traveling, hiking, running & aimless journeys. I aim to always be learning. I enjoy exploring the unknown and challenging myself physically and mentally.  I grew up playing/watching sports.  I’m a huge Liverpool FC fan, and being from Philly, I’m always going to cheer on the Phils and Eagles.

What is something you think everyone should try at least once?
Spontaneity…whether it’s trying a beer you’ve never had at a brewery you’ve never been, or going on a random road trip to a destination unknown, I feel people need to test their comfort limits…at least once.

Other than the beer, it’s the Vibe. Everyone at Xul (staff and guests included) feels it. Everyone is always so happy to be here. The Vibe spreads like wildfire & you can’t escape it (Not that you’d want to)

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I love to travel whenever possible, but I also love coming home & relaxing with my husband, my pets & my friends.

What would you do if you won the lottery?
I would immediately pay off all of our debt. Then I’d stock up on sunscreen, move somewhere tropical and spend the rest of my days as a beach bum.

What happens to us when we die? Is that the grand finale, or is there some sort of life after death?

To be honest, I’d spend it naked and outside 🙂

I would set my family up to never have to worry about finances, then buy a sailboat to travel the world and live off the grid as much as possible.

What do you like most about working at Xul?
I love the work environment. I never feel like “I really don’t want to come to work.” It actually makes my day to come to work! I love the people I work with, my managers, the customers. We really have a good thing going on.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I love spending time with my family! I also love to be busy, go on adventures, go outside, shop, be creative. Whatever I can do to maintain an active lifestyle!

Do I have any weird superstitions?
Yes! I freak out about toilets. I have alwaysssss thought that there are snakes in the pipes of toilets and one will come out through the hole of it. I don’t know if that’s a superstition but it’s terrifying.

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
I would move somewhere far away and tropical 🙂

Our staff! Xul is like a family. Friday & Saturday nights are absolutely electric due to our amazing staff who are so passionate & dedicated to sharing Xul’s creations to the world. I never imagined I would have gained so many meaningful friendships through working here.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Going to the park with my pets and relaxing by the river with a good book.

Awful Nice. I’ve always enjoyed hoppy beers, but I crave easy-drinkers these days & it bridges the gap perfectly.

Bierstadt Lagerhaus Slow Pour Pils. I have the utmost respect for how much effort goes into making this flawlessly crafted Pilsner.

What do you like most about working at Xul?
My favorite thing about Xul is that we are always trying to make the best possible product. It is far too easy in this industry to just settle for good enough. Xul never settles, and that’s something that drew me to apply and it continues to inspire me to come up with ways of making our products the best they can be.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I like to travel as much as I can. Whether that’s a weekend trip to Asheville to spend time with friends or destinations far and wide. When I am not traveling, I like to golf, play video games and work out.

If you won the lottery, what is the first thing you would do?
I would go on a two-year long trip around the world. There are so many places I would love to explore and there would be no better time then right after everyone found out you just became very wealthy.

I love the selection we consistently have as far as sours & hazy IPAs (my two favorite styles). Also the atmosphere of the taproom and THE TEAM ( best coworkers around)!

Attending music festivals with my girlfriend

I would like to know if there is intelligent life elsewhere in our universe and to what extent.

Haunt all of my enemies. Just kidding. I couldn’t be invisible bc I like to be noticed…so that just wouldn’t cut it 🙂

Family first, THEN, I would buy a chunk of land for an animal sanctuary/nursery for me & my plant & animal friends who need a safe space!

What do you like most about working at Xul?
Definitely the people I work with. We all get along & I just love all of them. Love getting to be myself. I always try to be polite, but most importantly, I love making the guests laugh. We never know what kind of day someone is having so if I can put a smile on their face, my day is made.

What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
I love to chill at home watching horror movies. I love going to horror conventions and cosplaying as Michael Myers and taking pictures with everyone. Watching sports & napping are also high on the list. I even collect different Michael Myers’ masks!

What is something that everyone should try at least once?
I think everyone should work on shift serving or bartending on a busy night. You would learn a lot from your experience and maybe make some good friends while doing it.

Get past the TSA and take a free flight to the Caribbean. I haven’t thought through the getting back part.
